Looking to create accurate floor plans and immersive 3D virtual tours that are easy to navigate?

The iGUIDE PLANIX camera system is for you! With a built-in time-of-flight lidar scanner, the camera’s accuracy exceeds commercial and residential industry standards.

“It used to take me over two-and-a-half hours to go into a home and just do measurements and manually insert them into floor plans. But, with iGUIDE, it was all so quick and easy!”

– Julie Pringle, Snap Photography

To capture a property, it’s a simple 3 step process:

  1. Capture: Connect your iGUIDE PLANIX camera system to your smart device via the iGUIDE PLANIX mobile app, create a new project and start scanning the property.
  2. Process: Upload your data to the iGUIDE Portal, where your iGUIDE 3D virtual tour, schematic floor plan, CAD or ESX files will be available once ready.
  3. Utilize: Easily share your files, post on social media or upload to your website. iGUIDE file formats integrate with smart devices and web platforms.

Did we mention? iGUIDE Processing is per project with no subscription fees!

Is the CORE for you?  The iGUIDE PLANIX Core is for users who already have a Ricoh THETA Z1 (other cameras are not supported) and would like to use it for making iGUIDEs. We’ll provide instructions to help you install the RICOH THETA Z1 onto the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system.

What about measurement accuracy when using iGUIDE Advanced Measurement Tools?

While linear and square footage measurements on the floor plans (Measure Mode 1) result from the laser scanner and have the same accuracy for all PLANIX models, the iGUIDE PLANIX Pro can provide up to 3 times better accuracy when making linear measurements in 3D space using images (Measure Modes 2 and 3) compared to uncalibrated lenses.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create an iGUIDE floor plan and 3D virtual tour?

You have two options for generating an iGUIDE floor plan and 3D virtual tour. Firstly, you can connect with a nearby iGUIDE Service Operator who will capture your property for you. Alternatively, you can acquire an iGUIDE PLANIX camera system, essential for gathering the necessary data yourself.

How fast does the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system operate on-site?

With a 10-16 second scan time, the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system has arguably the fastest capture time in the 3D modeling space. A property of 3,000 sq ft can be completed in just 15 minutes.

Does the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system work on exteriors?

Exterior panoramas can be captured using the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system, but square footage for exterior areas is not provided. Additionally, iGUIDE does not align exterior panoramas; operators must do this independently.

Does the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system work on large properties? (hotels, commercial buildings, etc.)

Yes, the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system can capably handle properties of any size. In this scenario, more scan points would capture larger areas.

How does the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system perform in low light settings?

The iGUIDE PLANIX camera system performs well in low-light settings. By utilizing its HDR (High Dynamic Range), the camera system can brighten darker spaces.

How accurate are the measurements?

The iGUIDE PLANIX camera system uses time-of-flight laser scanning technology to accurately measure the distance to walls with a 1 cm degree of uncertainty within a range of 40 meters (130 ft) of distance.

You can find iGUIDE’s measurement method summarized here.

Can I return the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system?

Our return policy:

Customer may return, at the expense of Customer, the first System ever purchased by Customer from Planitar within 30 days of the date of the original shipment provided that the System is in the original packaging and all shipping instructions provided by Planitar are followed.

For clarity:

Customer agrees that the refund will exclude the following:

(i) restocking fee equal to 15% of the original System price;

(ii) original shipping costs to Customer, and

(iii) cost of any repairs required to restore the System to full working condition, as deemed necessary by Planitar.

What is the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system warranty?

The iGUIDE PLANIX camera system warranty is one year for parts, materials and workmanship.

Can I use my own 3D camera with iGUIDE's software?

No. To use our software and create iGUIDEs, all virtual tours and floor plans must be generated from an iGUIDE PLANIX camera system.

What is the iGUIDE PLANIX camera system training like?

All of our iGUIDE training resources are available online. Explore ouroperator training and resources pagefor more information.
